Hey there!

Hi! I'm Shaylee Southerland, a self-taught textile artist and designer. I began weaving large-scale statement pieces in 2018 for private buyers and commercial/hospitality spaces. My primary focus is custom artwork and installations commissioned by individuals, interior designers and art consultants.

My work is a continuous exploration of the world's rich tapestry, where textures, tactile qualities of nature and unique color combinations serve as my foundation. My pieces are a delicate balance of unexpected juxtapositions between the bold and vibrant alongside the subtle and understated.

Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, my work can be found in numerous Common Desk, a WeWork Company, locations - Trammell Crow Center, Canal Centre, Continental Gin Building, CityLine, and McKinney Square, Westchase in Houston and East End Market in Raleigh, NC. I also have private commissions across North America and am available to travel for custom installations.
